Destruction of a Beadmaking Village

Hasan, master of the house, stands on his rooftop
prepared to fire beads he and his family have been
shaping from powdered steatite for the last day or two.

In front of him are several stacked metal plates
holding beads, completely obscured by the pile
of dung used as fuel for the fire.
